About the notebook
A notebook for returning to a question
Short explanations of names, verified connections and a page that can be checked again. Browse the seven notes in order or begin with the question that is useful today.
What belongs here
The subject is everyday web behaviour: names, secure connections, responses and the time between them. A note introduces a distinction, gives an ordinary example and leaves a small idea to carry into the next check. It is a reference collection, rather than a report about a particular machine.
How to use the pages
Each reading stands on its own. The contents list jumps between sections, while the previous and next links offer a route through the collection. Begin with the symptom you can describe, then follow the boundary that still needs evidence.
Examples explain general behaviour. They are not measurements of your network, a guarantee of availability or a substitute for checking the result in front of you.
A small, readable format
The pages use ordinary HTML, a local style sheet and two small local illustrations. Reading requires no account, signup or script. The layout follows the device's light or dark preference and keeps the text column narrow enough for sustained reading.
